We specialize in transforming photos of people into
stunning 3D wood carvings.

We primarily work with a headshot style, creating relief carved portraits of people from the shoulders up. The design is completely customizable.
An art piece can be carved as a portrait or onto a keepsake item
such as a box, ornament, or pendant.
Transforming
2D to 3D
From a 2D image of a person, we expertly sculpt a 3D .stl formatted image.
We can carefully integrate various elements, such as a frame, text or icons to customize the design of the art piece. The 3D image is then intricately carved using CNC technology.
For best results, we work from 2D images that are clear and in focus,
with good lighting. Also, having more than one angle of a person can help with accuracy in sculpting, should more than one photo be available.
Designing the Artwork
Each art piece is uniquely designed. We provide consultation, as needed, to create a timeless design. The first step is choosing your item.

Home or Business Signage
Next, the images are sculpted and customizable text and elements can be added. Elements are something that adds meaning to your art piece, like an instrument, an animal, a logo, or other icons. Once sculpting is complete, the design will be provided to you for review and approval.

Carving
You will have final review and approval your art piece before we begin the carving process. Upon approval, each piece is CNC carved from your selection of solid Cherry, Maple, or Walnut hardwoods.
Once carving is complete, we hand sand each item and finish the item with one of our 3 finish options:

Danish oil for a soft and natural look

Lacquer for a gloss look (can be tinted to any color)

Dynamic Stain (contrasting colored lacquer finish that highlight the shadows)

Once the finish fully cures, your product will be ready for pickup or delivery.
